The secret of great lashes
What's your must-have beauty product? For me it's always been mascara. Without it my eyes lack definition and somehow my whole face and complexion looks more 'meh' (that's a technical term meaning drab and dreary, dontcha know). Over the years I've tried dozens of different mascaras in the hope of finding the perfect brand, one that builds up my lashes so they look long and thick, but is smudge and flake proof so it stays put all day.
Some have come close, but the perfect combination has remained elusive. Until now. Because it turns out that actually there are lots of mascaras that can work wonders on your lashes, but there's a product that guarantees whatever mascara you use will give you thicker, longer lashes which look as fresh at the end of the day as they did at the start.
So what is this wonder product?
Well, it goes by the rather clunky name of Code FFL (Forget Fake Lashes) and what it is, is an eyelash undercoat.
Certainly when you pull the wand out of the tube, there's no indication from the uninspiringly sandy coloured, slightly gloopy formula, of the wonder that it's about to deliver to your lashes.
But believe you me, when you have applied it to your eye lashes, taking the usual care to work it through the full length from below and above, moving the wand slightly from side to side to keep the lashes separated and thoroughly covered (after which your eyelashes will alarmingly appear to have disappeared) you have laid a foundation that will super-boost your mascara in a way that will amaze you.
Code do their own VLM (Volumising Lengthening Mascara) which is great, but I've also tried the base with a variety of other mascaras and it works its magic with all of them. Currently I'm loving Chanel's Le Volume De Chanel mascara for it's chunky brush and smooth, long-lasting formula.
If you want to see what I mean, here's a before and after comparison (I'm really hoping you can tell the eye with the products on it is the left one!)
Whether you have short or long lashes, curly or straight ones, Code FFL will give them, and as a result your eyes, enhanced definition and impact.
What's your must-have beauty product? Do you have a beauty secret weapon you wouldn't be without? I'd love to know. And give it a go myself!
