White Company Night Oil (open).JPG

When I heard that The White Company - best known for deliciously luxurious and, let’s be honest, sometimes pretty pricey, homeware and clothes - had branched out into beauty products, I admit I was sceptical about how good they could be, however much the brand’s reputation is built on quality. So I can’t say I had particularly high hopes for their Night Oil, in spite of it promising ‘overnight renewal’ of my skin.

Well, in the same way that going to a party you expect to be boring and which turns out to be great, makes it even more memorable, so my low expectations made how good it is even more of a pleasant surprise.

This oil packs a skin nourishing boost well above its lightweight consistency. It’s no surprise that it won Cosmopolitan magazine’s Best Sleep Treatment award at their 2017 Beauty Awards. But don’t let the fact that Cosmo (ie younger) readers voted it their favourite, it’s just as good for more mature skins.

Massage a few drops into your face and neck last thing at night and you’ll be rewarded with soft-feeling, nourished skin when you wake up in the morning. I’ve always found my skin feels rather dry and tight in the mornings. Not with this oil it doesn’t.
